Grant Blankenship Bio

My name is Grant Blankenship. God has given me a wonderful wife, Shannon. I definitely married up. We have 6 kids. My family is such a refuge and a blessing to me.

I have lived in the ABQ Metro area for most of my life. It was Christmas 2012 when God led us to start a small bible study in our home. The first Sunday was just us. It was amazing to worship and learn just as a family. To hear our young kids singing at the top of their lungs and laughing during the teaching is still one of the best days of my life. It wasn’t very long until God made it clear that He had planted Cedar Springs Church and a few months later we needed to move out of our home for lack of space.

I have a deep love for our community and the people who live here. I recognize a deep need for the gospel in people’s lives. I feel called to two things: First, like Joshua, to always “inquire of the Lord”. Second, to “preach the word.” I believe that the Gospel through the unaltered Word of God has the power to transform lives.  We know that it is the Word who will draw people and not us. Rich, poor, young, old, healthy or sick, the Gospel can transform your life.

If you’re looking for a place that preaches the Word and doesn’t apologize for it; where worship is a matter of truth and not style; and a place where people see their need for Jesus just as much as you do, then I would invite you to Cedar Springs Church. We’d love for you to be a part of our body.
